Stainless steel optimum metal for future-ready railway infrastructure: Abhyuday Jindal, MD, Jindal Stainless

NEW DELHI: Stainless steel, which is sometimes confused with steel and is a common home metal used in kitchens and on gates, is being utilised more frequently nationwide for sustainable infrastructure. Stainless steel, which is made from scrap all over the world, is rust-free and strong. One reason why stainless steel has been a popular material for many projects in the rail infrastructure, and is utilised for things other than trains like footbridges and cable trays.

For a long time, Jindal Stainless has provided stainless steel for the Indian Railways’ coach market. and is currently working with others to construct rail bridges and foot over bridges (FOB).
