Photoshop-maker Adobe has a third of its global innovations happening out of India

Apart from consumer-driven sectors such as airlines, hospitality, banks, and retail chains, traditional B2B is the new category going in for digitisation, Mohapatra said.

According to Adobe India MD Prativa Mohapatra, India has become a crucial strategic focus region for the developer of Photoshop. A third of Adobe’s global innovations, including those on important products like Acrobat and Illustrator, are carried out there.

“Adobe India makes up nearly a third of Adobe’s innovation. As a result, our engineering and product development teams are now extremely important to the overall plan. The majority of them are headquartered in Bangalore and Noida,” Mohapatra recently stated to Business Today. Additionally, with almost 7,000 personnel, the India team is the second largest globally after the US. More than 26,000 people work for Adobe globally. At the end of the fiscal year that ended on December 3, 2021, the company reported $15.79 billion in sales.

Adobe India is investing heavily in providing customer journey management, data analytics, content personalization, commerce, and marketing workflows to businesses under its Adobe Experience Cloud as businesses are going digital, particularly in the wake of the pandemic. This is in addition to its Creative Cloud, which includes programmes like Photoshop and Illustrator.
