NEW DELHI:
Bhavish Aggarwal, the co-founder and CEO of the ride-hailing app Ola and EV maker, awoke to some intriguing solutions to one of his problems. On Thursday morning, the CEO of Ola asked a straightforward question of internet users on the social networking site Twitter: “What accessories would you like to have along with the Ola S1?”
Soon after, ideas began to flood in. A wide range of items, including a backrest, screen protector, main stand, scooter cover, footrest, and more, were requested by online users. Aside from making simple recommendations, the consumers took use of the occasion to vent other problems and criticise the company’s customer support system.
One of the main problems plaguing the electric vehicle business was voiced by Pravin, one of these users, in his essay “Safety.”
At a private event in May of this year, Aggarwal addressed the topic of safety and said, “Will there be incidences in the future, there might be,” adding, “But our pledge is that we will make sure we assess every issue and if there are repairs to be done, we will do them.”
Ola is not the only case in which this topic has been raised. Additionally, there have been reports of EVs from other manufacturers, like Okinawa, Pure EV, and others, catching fire. Additionally, the situation took a very fatal turn this week when an EV dealership in Secunderabad caught fire, killing eight people.
