Apple unveiled four new iPhone models this year. The iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone 14 Pro Max are these. Even while Apple never makes sales figures public, several media reports claim that the iPhone 14 Pro has garnered much better reviews than the more affordable iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. According to a recent source along similar lines, while the iPhone 14 and Plus versions have not garnered “enthusiastic” feedback, the iPhone 14 Pro models have.
This year, Apple revised its approach and discontinued the mini in favour of the Plus model. And so, the business had high hopes for the recently released iPhone 14 Plus, which has a larger display and similar specifications to the iPhone 14. If rumours are to be believed, there is far less demand than anticipated for the iPhone 14 Plus. The Pro variants, which are more expensive and offer better performance and features, are actually claimed to have been considerably more popular with consumers.
According to a recent DigiTimes report, the “enthusiastic” reception to the Pro versions has far outpaced the sales of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. The source also stated that overall shipments of the iPhone 14 series will be roughly identical to the iPhone 13 range during the same period last year, despite disparities in sales outcomes between the Pro and non-Pro versions this year.
According to the source, Apple may reduce parts orders for the production of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus if sales of those models stay flat even in the upcoming quarter. The delivery of the iPhone 14 series before the end of the year may also be affected if Apple reduces orders.
Recall that prominent analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed shortly after the release of the new iPhones that demand for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus is “lacklustre” and that pre-order numbers are even worse than those for the iPhone SE 3 and the iPhone 13 small. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, on the other hand, apparently continue to be in high demand. Therefore, it is thought that Apple would stop producing the non-Pro models in order to produce more iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
