CEO Parag Agrawal leaves Twitter office after getting fired, won’t return: Report

Parag Agrawal has left his San Francisco office in Twitter Headquarters

Elon Musk has at last succeeded. The purchase of Twitter for $44 billion has been finalised, and the purge has started right away. Some of the top executives at the microblogging network were sacked by Musk. According to a recent source, Parag Agrawal, the chief executive, has already departed the San Francisco offices and will never return.

According to a report by the American media outlet CNBC, Parag Agrawal and the financial director of Twitter have already left their headquarters in San Francisco. According to the article, neither of the executives would be coming back to the business. According to additional sources, Vijaya Gadde, the director of legal policy, trust, and safety, was also let go. Gadde gained notoriety after numerous reports from earlier this year claimed that she sobbed when she learned that Musk was buying Twitter.

Official disclosure of the termination’s circumstances is pending. Agrawal’s official Twitter account, however, continues to identify him as Twitter’s CEO. Regarding the significant step, he has not made any additional statements or tweeted anything.

Musk was given until Friday to execute the transaction. The proceedings, nevertheless, appear to have come to a conclusion late on Thursday. On Wednesday, Musk had already altered his Twitter bio to read “Chief Twit.” A trip to the Twitter headquarters in San Francisco came after that. Musk made a practical joke by carrying the sink from the bathroom in his hand.

Additionally, he disclosed that he would be speaking with Twitter staff. The stakes were high because prior rumours said that Musk intended to fire a staggering 75% of the Twitter staff. Musk refuted that assertion, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be any sudden terminations.

In order to implement his goals for the social media network, Musk has started the cuts from the top rung and is anticipated to further reduce the personnel. Additionally, Musk published a statement outlining the “true reason” for the Twitter acquisition, his short- and long-term objectives, and his vision for the service.
