The All India Bank Employee Association has called for a strike on Saturday, November 19, which is likely to have an impact on banking services throughout the nation (AIBEA).
According to a regulatory filing by the Bank of Baroda, the general secretary of AIBEA informed the Indian Banks’ Association of the proposed strike by the organization’s members for November 19, 2022, in support of their demands.
According to the bank’s filing, “Though the Bank is taking necessary steps for smooth functioning of the Bank’s Branches and Offices on the days of strike, the functioning of the branches and offices may be affected” if the strike actually happens.
The third Saturday of the month is November 19, and banks are open on the first and third Saturdays of each month.
November 2022 will have bank holidays.
In accordance with the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) holiday schedule, Indian banks will be closed for up to 10 days in November. Banks will be closed for four days starting on November 19 including the fourth Saturday, Sundays, and local holidays.
