Mr. Anijit Bhattacharya is an MBA graduate and postgraduate in Biotechnology. He has more than 18 years of work experience which includes more than 12 years of relevant work experience in managing development projects funded by govt./multilateral/public sector organization in MSME/Industries domain. He has more than 10 years of experience and proven track records in programme implementation in a leadership role working closely with Government departments, Industry Associations, Technical Institutions, Multilateral Development Agencies such as Directorate of MSME, Govt. of West Bengal; KVIC, MoMSME, GoI; DSIIDC, GNCTD; SIDBI, IAMR, European Union, SAARC Development Fund, etc.
His major working experience in MSME/Industry domain includes providing strategic inputs to Department of Industries/ DSIIDC, Govt. of Delhi in strengthening MSMEs and develop responsive ecosystem; project management consultancy support to the Directorate of MSME, Dept. of MSME&T, Govt. of West Bengal in implementation of State sponsored MSME cluster development programme; implementation of CFC projects under MSECDP, SFURTI scheme of MoMSME, GoI in West Bengal; SME cluster development & bamboo based entrepreneurship promotion under European Union (Switch Asia Programme) and SAARC Development Fund project in Assam, Meghalaya, & Tripura; promote technology up-gradation to reduce coke consumption in SME cluster under European Union (Switch Asia Project) in West Bengal; promotion of livelihood generation activities by providing technical and advisory support to artisan clusters under various projects; promotion of innovation and incubation in Pharmaceutical clusters under Department of Science and Technology Project in Andhra Pradesh (now Telangana); value chain analysis of SME manufacturing and service clusters; implemented Community Radio Programme in Tripura for promotion of bamboo entrepreneurship; grooming internal team members on Cluster Development Programme, Value Chain Analysis, Financial Linkages, Market penetration, Business Plan Preparation and Project Implementation.
He prepared 40 value chain led need assessment studies and diagnostic study reports for MSME clusters, 4 detailed project reports, 10 bankable project reports. He provided project management consultancy services for hard intervention implementation in clusters in West Bengal. He has successfully transformed more than 3000 micro enterprises under various state governments and EU Switch Asia, SDF projects.
